NYX

  • ale_T_web

Presented here, Nyx is the first portrait to be realised on their intended scale and form, depicting the ever encompassing goddess of Night, the first to exist beyond Chaos.

The work was created using a mixed technique, a highly-customised computer code that draws random paths based on a hand-sketched image,
in the way of Post-Impressionists were filling up slowly their entire canvas into light with thousands of individual brush strokes.

The portrait went through approximately 4 million passes, a simple brushstroke of each pathdrawn to reach this result.
The outcome is a ultra high-definition (600->1200dpi) Giclee print on a scale that allows the viewers to appreciate the elaborate result from close or afar.
